- Chimneys and vents. An uncapped chimney is a den. Vents are pushed rather than chewed, so the damage is easy to miss from the ground.
- Decks, sheds and steps. Ground level dens under a structure, which is the same job as a skunk under a deck.
- Restoration after. Contaminated insulation removed rather than covered, because what they leave behind is the part that lingers.

Nothing gets sealed while young are still inside, and we check for them before anything is closed. Closing an entry on a den leaves the young in the roof space, which is inhumane and turns a contained problem into a far worse one inside a wall or a ceiling. Where there are young, the work is sequenced around them.

Restoration is available: contaminated insulation is removed and replaced rather than left in place. It matters for two reasons.
