Usually, when the nest is found. Ants on a counter are a trail from a nest that is somewhere else, so the visit is about following that trail back rather than treating where you saw them. If the trail returns we come back, because a trail returning means the nest we treated was not the one feeding it.
Yes, applied as directed. The treatment follows the line the ants are actually using rather than covering the whole lawn, so the grass is not being soaked in anything. We tell you how long to keep pets off the treated line before we start, and that figure depends on the product used.
