1. The short version

This site sets no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies. There is no tracking pixel, no session recorder, no social media widget and no embedded third-party content on any page. The typefaces are served from this website rather than fetched from a font provider, so loading a page here does not announce your visit to anybody else.

What the site does store is a small amount of information in your own browser to remember decisions you have made, such as your answer to the cookie banner. That information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

2. What a cookie is, and what else counts

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, which the browser sends back on your next request. Browsers also offer websites other kinds of storage, such as local storage, which works similarly but is not sent back automatically.

This policy covers all of it. The distinction that matters to you is not the technology but the purpose: is this here to make the site work, or is it here to measure you? So that is how the list below is organised.

3. Strictly necessary storage

This is the storage the site cannot work correctly without. It is not used to track you and it cannot be switched off, because switching it off would mean the site could not remember that you asked it not to track you.

Our hosting also records standard server logs, including the IP address of a request, as described in the privacy policy. Those are not cookies and are not set in your browser, but they are worth knowing about: they are how the enquiry form is protected from being used to send junk.

4. Analytics

None. We do not currently measure how this site is used, which means we cannot tell you which page you came from or how long you stayed, because we do not know.

If we add analytics, it will be listed in this table with its name and its lifetime before it is switched on, it will not load unless you have accepted it, and the date at the top of this page will change.

5. Advertising

None. No advertising or remarketing tags are installed, and we do not share information with an advertising network. If you have seen an advertisement for us, it was not targeted at you because of a visit to this site.

6. Why there is a banner at all, if there is nothing to refuse

Because the honest moment to ask is before there is something to ask about. A business that adds tracking and only then puts up a banner is asking people who have already been measured. Recording your answer now means that if analytics is ever added, the site already knows you said no and it does not load.

It also means the answer is yours to change at any time, which is the part most sites get wrong: a banner you can only answer once, on your first second on a website, is not a choice.

7. What each option does

• Essential only. The site works normally. Nothing loads that measures you or follows you anywhere else. This is also what happens if you close the banner without answering, or if you never answer at all.
• Accept all. The above, plus any analytics or advertising the site uses, which today is none. Accepting does not switch anything on that does not exist; it records that you would be content for it to run.

8. Controlling cookies in your browser

You can delete or block storage for any website in your browser settings, usually under privacy or site settings. Blocking everything will affect how sites work, including this one: without the consent key we cannot remember your answer, so the banner will ask again on every visit. That is a browser behaviour rather than something we can fix from our side.

Clearing site data for this website resets your choice, and the banner will ask once more.

9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Since this site loads no analytics and no advertising, there is nothing here for those signals to switch off. If we add anything of that kind, we will state in this section how we respond to them.

10. Changes to this policy

The date at the top is the date of the current version. Anything added to the tables above appears here before it runs, not after.
